These answers describe the current PuntSign MVP and the workflow implemented in the product today.
Do recipients need a PuntSign workspace account?
No. Recipients use the secure agreement link sent to their email and enter a time-limited signing session for the envelope they need to review or complete.
What kinds of recipients can I add?
An envelope can include signers, approvers, and copy recipients. Each role participates differently in the workflow.
Can recipients sign in a specific order?
Yes. Use sequential routing to activate recipients by routing order. If order does not matter, use parallel routing so recipients can act at the same time.
What fields can I place on a PDF?
PuntSign supports signature, initials, name, date, text, and checkbox fields placed directly on rendered PDF pages.
Can a recipient draw a signature?
Yes. Signatures and initials can be drawn or typed in the browser signing experience.
Can I reuse a common agreement setup?
Yes. Configured agreement structures can be saved as reusable templates for repeat workflows.
What happens after everybody finishes?
When all required recipients are complete, PuntSign creates the finalized stamped PDF, calculates its SHA-256 hash, generates a separate audit certificate, stores the outputs privately, and sends completion notifications.
Does PuntSign keep the original PDF?
Yes. The original source PDF remains a separate private artifact. Finalization creates a new completed PDF rather than overwriting the source document.
What agreement statuses can I track?
The envelope workflow includes draft, sent, viewed, in progress, finalizing, completed, declined, expired, and voided states, with recipient progress tracked alongside the envelope.
Can the signing experience use our branding?
Yes. Workspace branding can include the organization logo, company name, primary color, sender name, and email footer across supported signing and email touchpoints.
How are signing and download links protected?
Invitation, signing, session, and download credentials are stored as hashes, and secure recipient or download access is bounded rather than treated as an unrestricted public document URL.
Does PuntSign provide qualified signatures or notarization?
Not in the current MVP. Certificate-based digital signatures, qualified electronic signatures, remote notarization, and government identity verification are outside the current product scope.
